Annual Prizes and Awards

BAP Public Communication Prizes

The BAP Public Communication Prizes are awarded annually to reward excellence in both clinical and non-clinical science communication to the public in the area of psychopharmacology.

We are pleased to announce that the winners of this year's BAP Public Communication Prizes are:
Anna McLaughlin (King's College London) Junior
"This was my first BAP summer meeting, and it was a fantastic to meet so many other researchers working in similar field to me. My highlights included presenting my poster on cortisol analysis in depression and attending the special session on ‘challenges in managing depression’. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and I left feeling inspired and looking forward to next summer’s meeting!"

Stephen Lawrie (Edinburgh) Senior
"The BAP Summer Meeting is one of the best academic meetings, scientifically and socially, every year. The quality of the science is always strong, as good as any meeting anywhere, and relevant to clinical practice as a psychiatrist. The atmosphere is extremely convivial and very trainee friendly – a bit like a large and happy family. Catching up with old friends and colleagues year on year is an ever increasing pleasure."
